December’s Fatal Pasadena Crashes

Pasadena, a small city in Los Angeles County, California, has recently experienced two fatal solo-car crashes. The cause of the accidents could be excessive alcohol or drug consumption. The first accident took place on Saturday, December 10, along Seco Street near Rosemont Avenue. Law enforcement officers who arrived at the location of the accident found a vehicle that crashed into a light pole. Although driver wasn’t hurt, the passenger of the car was seriously injured.  The passenger of the car was transported to a nearby hospital where she died shortly. The autopsy is pending. Amtrak train hits vehicle in Ventura. Women arrested on suspicion of drunk driving

This Sunday evening, November, 20, a serious incident took place on the rail tracks in Ventura county.  According to law enforcement, an Amtrak train collided with an abandoned car around 7:30 p.m. at Garden Street and Harbor Boulevard. At the time of the collision, the Amtrak train was moving at a speed of 15-20 mph. As soon as the train operator saw the abandoned car, he attempted to stop the train but could not do it in time.  At the time of the collision, the train carried 60 passengers. The LA Rams cornerback Troy Hill is in trouble with the law once again. Presently, he was detained for drunk driving.  Few years ago, in December of 2013, Mr. Hills was arrested for the crime of domestic abuse when he was a student in Oregon. The 25-year-old NFL player was taken into custody early Saturday morning November 19, after his Mercedes Benz collided with a semi-truck. The CHP reported that at 7: 43 a.m. they received a call that there was a car accident on 101 Highway in Encino, Los Angeles. Last month, after a jury trial, Kevin Hogrefe was found guilty of a Watson murder of Yevhen “Eugene” Kostiuchenko, a Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputy.  A Watson Murder is a murder prosecution that is a DUI prosecution, as a result of which, someone had died.  Here, Mr. Hogrefe caused a DUI collision that resulted in the death of Mr. Kostiuchenko.  After long-lasting proceedings in a case, the jury declared that the 27-year-old DUI driver was guilty of second-degree murder and felony hit-and-run. He was allegedly driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance. The police pulled over Michael Chiarello in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Napa County, a county in Northern California.
